The 2022-23 season is here, and it’s starting off with a bang! October has a massive amount of tournaments to choose from, with great events available every single weekend of the month. Veteran (40+) fencers should keep an eye on the Tom Wright Veteran Fencing Tournament, an annual event held at DC Fencer’s Club that usually draws a large crowd. Meanwhile, our female fencers can look forward to two women’s opens this month, one at DC Fencer’s Club and one at Temple University.
Our October Tournament Spotlight is another DC Fencer’s Club event, the DCFC Champagne Challenge. This massive event is shaking up to have at least 60 fencers and could potentially become an A4 event, meaning that there could be a lot of ratings up for grabs. If you’re looking to face off against some very tough opponents and potentially earn a new rating, check this one out.
