Eligibility
Unsure which tournaments you’re eligible to attend, or which tournaments are best for your level?
Open: Open to senior (born 2011 or earlier) fencers of any rating. Generally the toughest type of tournament, best for experienced fencers or ambitious beginners.
C & Under: Open to senior (born 2011 or earlier) fencers rated C, D, E, or U. Great for experienced fencers and for beginners looking to branch out into tougher tournaments.
E & Under: Open to senior (born 2011 or earlier) fencers rated U or E. Great for beginners and for fencers looking to earn their first rating.
Y10: Open to fencers born 2014 – 2017 of any rating. Great for youth fencers of all levels.
Y12: Open to fencers born 2012 – 2015 of any rating. Great for youth fencers of all levels.
Y14: Open to fencers born 2010 – 2013 of any rating. Great for youth fencers of all levels.
Cadet: Open to fencers born 2008 – 2011 of any rating. The difficulty varies from event to event, but generally good for fencers of all levels.
Junior: Open to fencers born 2005 – 2011 of any rating. The difficulty varies from event to event, but generally good for fencers of all levels. Tougher than cadet.
Adult Combined: Open to fencers born 2004 or earlier of any rating. The difficulty varies from event to event, but generally good for fencers of all levels.
Veteran Combined: Open to fencers born 1985 or earlier of any rating. The difficulty varies from event to event, but generally good for fencers of all levels.
