INFO FOR BEGINNERS
*Absolutely NO EXPERIENCE is required to start!*
Beginner Fencers must provide their own jacket, glove, and gender-specific protective gear (athletic cup for male students and plastic chest protector for female students). All items are listed on our Equipment Guide under “Beginner Class”
While weekly attendance is not mandatory, beginner fencers who want to pass the proficiency test to move to the “Intermediate” Rank, should expect to attend as many Saturdays as possible each month for at least two consecutive months.
$80.00/month (No long-term contracts)
First-Time fencers have a registration-deadline for each Session (see above). This is to ensure that beginners have sufficient time to cover the entire beginner curriculum inside of one three-month session.
How to Register:
Our first session will be by Invitation-Only from our Waitlist. We are currently in the process of contacting everyone on our waitlist in chronological order. If you are currently on the waitlist, we appreciate your patience, but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
INFO FOR INTERMEDIATE FENCERS
Which Intermediate class is best for your child:
As a general rule-of-thumb, Wednesdays are the primary day for intermediate training. We emphasize bouting skills, tactics, and more advanced maneuvers, as well as offer open-bouting on Wednesdays.
Continuing Saturday classes are good for Intermediate fencers who are looking to improve their competitive game by sharpening their fundamentals to a razor’s edge. It is recommended (but not required) to also take individual lessons with the Saturday class.
Intermediate Fencers must provide their own full uniform–jacket, underarm protector, glove, knickers, mask, and gender-specific protective gear. Intermediate fencers are not required to own their own epees and bodycords, but it is strongly recommended once it becomes convenient to do so. All items are listed on our Equipment Guide
1 Weekly Class (Wednesday OR Saturday): $80.00/month
2 Weekly Classes (Wednesday AND Saturday): $100.00/month
Intermediate Fencers may join the Saturday classes at any point during the three-month session.
