Modern Duelists is located in the Triumph Industrial Park, just minutes off of I-95. Classes are held in our 3,600 sq.ft. fencing room, equipped with five regulation fencing strips, two practice strips, and over a dozen different wall, standing, and hanging targets. Students also have access to a fully-stocked armory for equipment repairs, a weight room for auxiliary training, and a break room/kitchenette.

Event Information
This event is sanctioned by the Maryland division of USA Fencing. Entries are limited to a maximum of 48 fencers per event. This event will follow the standard USA Fencing format, with a single round of pools, 100% promotion to direct elimination, and no fence-off for third place. Pools will consist of seven fencers whenever possible; depending on the number of entries, we may also use pools of six or eight. Doors open at 8:00am. Check-in for Veteran Women’s Epee closes at 9:00am; check-in for Veteran Men’s Epee closes at 2:00pm.
Eligibility
This is a veteran combined event. Fencers must have a birth year of 1984 or earlier. Fencers must have a valid USA Fencing membership at the Access level or higher. If you are not a member of USA Fencing, you can sign up here: https://member.usafencing.org/signup
Event Cost
The registration fee is $20. The event fee is $20 per event if prepaid, $30 per event if you pay at the door. (If prepaid, the total cost for one event is $40 and the total cost for both events is $60. If paying at the door, the total cost for one event is $50 and the total cost for both events is $80.) Preregistration & Walk-Ins
Fencers must be preregistered by midnight on the day of the event. If the tournament is not full, walk-in registrations will be accepted.
Medals & Awards
Medals will be given to the top four fencers in each event.
