Learn to fence in one of our beginner group classes!
Ready to try fencing? Come join one of our 8-week beginner classes! The curriculum is fast, fun, and will give you the foundation to move up to our intermediate/advanced classes. As is the case with all of our instruction, beginner classes are focused entirely on epee (one of the three fencing weapons/events. If you don’t know what that means yet, that’s OK!).
Nervous because you don’t know much about fencing?
Remember, most of our students first walk in the door with no knowledge of what to expect other than, “I know they use swords and masks!” Fencing as a sport has been rapidly growing over the past 10 years, but most people still have had little to no exposure to it, even if they’ve always wanted to try. The class is designed for students who have no idea what to expect, so don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything you need to know!

A: Yes, students are welcome to take the beginner class twice (more than twice requires permission from the coaching staff).
Q: My child will be turning 13 during the course of the beginner classes. Which class should my child take?
A: In this case, we recommend the senior beginner class, however, either class would be fine.
